I think what Lance was accused of was made illegal after the year in question... so I have never understood why they bothered chasing it up anyways.
I tend to cynically agree with Rabbit though - very difficult to believe those at the top of any high performance sport are not supporting themselves physiologically in some way that is most likely illegal...

It was already illegal, they just could only test starting in 2000.
But you are right - why go back and dig out those old, old samples.
If they were going to revoke his victory(ies), they'd have to do that with all athletes whose pee samples still exist... world records, olympic medals being revoked back into the 60's (or whenever freezers were invented) !
