    When I tour I take 2 pairs of shorts with me, alternating each in a wear-a-pair, wash-a-pair. I wash my shorts at the end of every day. Some mornings the newly washed shorts are dry, some days they aren't. I then take the damp pair and attach them to either my panniers or trailer (depending on what I"m using) and let them dry as I ride the next day. And you're absolutely right that it's the chamois that isn't quite dry.
