Ordered my new Wacoal CW-X bra from Terry, and got it in two days. Geez, these catalog folks are all hopping!

Anyway, I'm so happy to have gotten it, cuz I've only seen them in 2 places. Sahalie (aka Early Winters) and Terry. Even Nordies couldn't order me one, and they are a huge Wacoal store.

Since I've lost so much weight my old one got too big. The new one (size medium!! MEDIUM!!!) fits beautifully. No bounce. No pinch. Incredibly thin fabric that doesn't hold sweat and get clammy. "Lifts and separates." No uni-boob here. No wires, no hardware.

Well, I just had to wax rhapsodic. Thank you for your support. (hee hee)

I was looking at sports bras today and have no idea where to even start. I liked the one on your link - can you wear that alone as well? Not that I'd really like my saggy rolls to be showing but I can always dream right? Anyway, I am not that hugely endowed and can manage to ride with a lycra-ish (is that a word? tank top that has a bit of a shelf bra in it. But today, I was looking at super light-weight sleeveless shirts today that looked nice and cool for the summer. I bought one of them, I'd have to buy a sports bra and that may just defeat the purpose of the lighter-weight top. Guess I need to go try some on.

Title 9 has a good selection of bras (but not the Wacoal). Read their website catalog, it has lots of good info and more bras than anyone else has.

You could wear the CW-X alone, no problem. It looks like a sport-top more than a regular bra. I always wear a shirt over it simply because I can sunburn at the drop of a hat.

I found a CW-X at REI. Best sports bra I've ever used. However, I only use bras for running now, and don't do that very often. The best bra is no bra in my opinion, but I'm 50 years old and don't have much to hide anyway.

Yeah, that's what I prefer too. I hate wearing a bra just about any time.

Here's another related question - why is it that all the tanks I looked at have those racer back straps? I hate the weird tan you get from them. I want just plain up and down straps but have trouble finding them in the sports stores. Are the racer back straps that much more comfortable or effective? What am I missing here?

I find the racerback bras and tanks much more comfortable than the "regular" ones. The straps never slip or need adjustment.

I found this sports bra information website helpful when I went bra hunting recently. I hope this helps. I ended up buying a bra from title nine.

I just bought the CW-X bra above. I had to buy it from Paragon Sports (paragonsports.com) because Terry was out

For size reference, I am probably somewhere between a 34 and 36 C and D. I haven't actually measured in a long time, which is probably silly. Those Victoria's Secret ladies are just so intimidating with their "can I size you?" and I'm always afraid to do it myself.

Aaaaaanyway.... It is definitely comfortable without a lot of hardware, just like Knotted mentioned. As for bounce, I definitely have some, more than my Hind Nexus. I tried the Nexus back on, then put the CW-X on, and could really tell the difference. However, the CW-X and tri suit combination is deadly! They are perfect together. CW-X dries fast, is light, comfortable, and has good coverage (higher neck than the Nexus). She doesn't make the tri suit uncomfortable like the Nexus did.

I could wear the CW-X alone (if I was brave, more likely with jersey/shirt) for cycling, but for running I think I need a little more.

Sizing wise, it fits well, and I think there'd be room for a little more boobage even. I must have a short torso or something because I find that the straps on most sports bras seem long, and the CW-X is the same way. Maybe I'm wrong and the problem is really that I need to go down a size. I'm tempted to try a medium. I'm not used to wearing smaller sizes

I definitely give it a thumbs up. Light, comfortable, and medium-high support.

I tried the CW-X and I thought the straps were too long, for what it's worth. I'm between a medium and large size, and tried the large. If it fits around the rib cage, then the straps aren't short enough to create the "hoist" that "the girls" need. Until they devise a good counter-weight system, it's tough to find the right fit. (Kidding about the counter-weights - it's a running joke in my family.)

My process for finding a good bra has been to order a bunch of them and then wear them around the house for a while. I've tried shopping at retail stores, but you put them on and just stand there looking in the mirror. A lot of good that does. If I walk around the house for 15 minutes, or sit at my desk, I can at least tell if they're going to bug me. All but one have gone back. Costs a few $$ to return them, but this has at least resulted in ONE that I can stand: the Title 9 Frog bra. The medium size is working, and holds everything in with the right tightness.

Don't be afraid to try the medium CW-X. My Large seemed to have strap-growth issues as I shrank, and then wads of fabric started showing up under my boobage, and there was some definite sagging going on.

The medium is a struggle to put on, but is fab-u-lous once all the contortions and swearing are over.

I am tall and long-torsoed, so your results may vary.

I could have worn either the medium or large. But with limited motion in my right shoulder due to the collarbone fracture, trying to get the medium off was very very difficult. So I took the large, and am happier to not be too constricted in the chest. Plus I usually find bra straps too short (imagine your sports bra trying to pop up your boobs).
