happy June 1st!
(does anyone else say Rabbit Rabbit on the 1st of the month? I've only met one other who did) (where did that come from, anyway?)

Rabbit rabbitt - I remember that!
That was something we used to say in elementary school - back east. I never met anyone out here who did it. I NEVER remembered to say it! Wasn't it supposed to be the first thing you said on the first day of the month?
Thanks for the memory...
Keep calm and carry on...
Anyone else ever have a close encounter with a rabbit?? Last weekend I was flying down a hill on my road bike and heard some rustling off to the right. Next thing I knew a rabbit ran right across my path - missed the front tire by inches and scared the crap out of me! I was easily doing over 30 mph and it would not have been pretty.......................

Yeah, I was thinking - wow, Knotted must have ridden alongside a rabbit or just missed one...

I picked it up from a friend in college who was from Chicago. One day one of my patients said it, which was pretty exciting in a silly way. He couldn't remember where he learned it.

rabbit rabbit that's how I feel on the back of a tandem when we're flying down a hill! like a nervous rabbit!!!
http://dendritics.com/scales/white-rabbits.asp discusses the matter at some length (including debate over whether "rabbit rabbit" or "white rabbit, white rabbit" is proper).
Acknowledging that wikipedia is not considered a "reputable" source by many, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rabbit_rabbit has some info about it.
And, just because last week Google simply did not *have* an article (I had it in front of me; student said he'd gotten it online, so search terms should have gotten me there... which they *did* on Alta Vista)... which got me to an album title of that name ("rabbit rabbit") by the Hattifatteners. Maybe we should say "hattifatteners, hattifatteners" instead; it has a good ring!
Okay, now I really really will be productive...
Geonz, I consider that to have been HIGHLY productive.

I still say that! I'm glad I'm not the only one. I've gotten my husband to say it too, although he had never heard it growing up.
I remember that! Although I have no idea who said it or where...I lived a bunch of places, growing up.

I thought you had a major rabbit encounter, too. Thanks for the much needed laugh. Now everyone at work will think I've lost my mind. Bwaaahhaaaahhaaaa!
