The chance meeting confirms my fav part of being a cyclist. People seem more open to starting coversations with me; particulary if they are cyclists themselves. Or they will offer to help carry my bike down railway stations steps (which happened yesterday).

And I know what you mean about friendly cyclists!! I am amazed at how many cyclists nod or wave when they pass by me, even the serious-looking roadie types. It's like they see me as their equal hee hee... Makes me feel good. I also notice that teens on bikes are much friendlier and more polite than ones who are walking...
