On the parking... if Snap's big red circle isn't a parking lot, she has just provided someone somewhere (those "internet villianous snoopers") with a nice target to drop a bomb.

On the climb: CindySue honey, I ONLY have a compact double! I'm assuming it will serve me well for the expected 1000 meters of riding I'll complete

On poker: how many lbs of change to I have to bring for the game and do I have to carry it on my bike for the climb?

    spazz-o-uhoh!

You guys are cracking me up! I can't wait! I

I'm shooting to make it to the Junction with something less that the 5,000 stops I made last year, and maybe a little further!

Hey anyone have any ideas on what adjustment issues might cause a sore left hamstring, slightly twingy left knee, and sore right outer lower shin? (is that specific enough?) I rode the 3 Bears (lots of climbing) yesterday with my pal Nicole and last night and today I'm feeling sore in those areas...

The orginal saddle (San Marco Aero) is going back on for Diablo. Oy.

Nope...I'm gonna do the Tiberon Loop and then decorate helmets with my team. Have fun you-all! I'll do it next year...(yeah, everything is "next year" right now!).

Right now I'm praying I make it to Daly City on Day 1

    Question Water bottles or camelback?

I can't remember what I did last year. Anyone have any advice?

I think I'm leaning towards 1 bottle cytomax, 1 bottle water, and my camelback... Cytomax always makes me a little thirsty, even though I make it half strength...

Two water bottles should be plenty. You can get more water at the entrance, at various picnic sites and at the Junction.

OK... since I'm a Diablo virgin, I'm having a bit of a fashion crisis.

Will it be cold at 7:30am?
Will I be OK in just shorts and a jersey or do I need to wear warmer gear?
How's the road surface? Carry 2 tubes or more?

I think thats it for the moment.

This is a kitchen sink ride. Meaning you will need wind layers to get off the mountain without freezing your toocas.

I suspect it'll be cold enough tomorrow that I'll climb in knee warmers, a short sleeve jersey and short-fingered gloves. I'll take a wind jacket and full length gloves to get down the hill. It's a bit unseasonably cool right now.

Also, the temps stay warmer below the junction, but that downhill will still be cool.

Elephants and water at the junction.

Is there the same at Rock City, anyone?

Oh, yeah, one tube and pump is fine.

This is meet at 7:30, right? As opposed to roll at 7:30? That's how I read it.... if it is roll at 7:30, we'll be late...

I'm Ok with meet since it's not going to be hot tomorrow. Anyone else?

BikerZ, were you the one with the time constraints? I think CindySue solved hers with only going to the reception but that ball could still be pinging around.

I know, let ask the Executive Decision Maker.
