    Some of those mopeds have families of 4 or 5 on them! (I spent a few months in India a few years ago - the traffic there is amazing!)

    traffic

    Reminds me that the organized chaos we experienced with traffic in Vietnam was nothing compared to that.

    Nothing like having a family on a moped, a tractor with hay being pulled by a donkey, cyclos & cyclists all on the same road....It's a cool experience!!!

    DH told about taking a taxi ride in India once. At night. To "save" battery power, the driver would only switch the lights on now and then, take a peek at road, then switch them off and drive on in the dark. DH's snapshots from that trip include lots of roadside wrecks.
    Half-marathon over. Sabbatical year over. It's back to "sacking shirt and oat cakes" as they say here.
