Welcome to the board kim! If you get a chance there's a thread under the open titled "getting to know you" - gives you a chance to learn more about us then we should let on.....and tell us a tad more about you if you're so inclined!!

As for getting you a new bike - we who can't afford one at this time LOVE helping someone else buy one.......guess we kinda feed our new bike lust by helping others!!

congrats on your 20 mile ride - there is something so uplifting about just being a bike eh!
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand, strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming: "Yeah Baby! What a Ride!"

Thanks for the welcome everyone! I'll head over to the 'getting to know you thread' soon! I've read about halfway through it

Ah, I wish I could afford a new bike right now. I'm HOPING to go to work next week, so a portion of my first paycheck will be set back! Sad thing is, that's the reason I'm so anxious to go to work..hehe. I've really been itching to go to the bike shop near me, but I refuse to let myself before I can get a bike, or almost get a bike.

I'll be asking for advice, I'm sure! I've got a question in mind, but I want to do a little research before I ask...I can just imagine you ladies busting out laughing at my question...but then....no stupid questions, huh?

    Thanks again for the welcomes!

definately, no stupid questions...if money is tight, don't hesitate to look at used (I am not sure if the bike shop in your area sells them, but, if so...check
    'em out).
