Hey there W-d-a-century... I a confused with these pedals you have bought...

They are clipless on one side, but if you flip them over they have a cage??? Is that what you mean?

Can someone post a pic for me? I am not sure how it works and I am intrigued...

I have a bunch of questions, like, if you are using the cleats, then wouldn't the cages drag on the ground round corners?

    Looking forward to being enlightened...

Finally found a pic that descibes what I have. The black pedal inserts are clipped on the shimano pedal as you see here and then have clipless and platform. Hope this helps

Pikato, I use the Shimano spd on all 3 of my bikes (mt, road, cross) and it sure makes it simpler to be able to use just 1 pair of shoes! It may not be cool as far as the roadies go, but at my age, who cares!!

Pikato- I noticed someone with mountain shoes/pedals last weekend at a ride we did. Instead of thinking it looked stupid I was jealous because the shoes looked more comfortable than my road shoes. Wear what you want, I won't judge!

Well, my shoe shopping expedition was a bust! Smallest size any of the places had were 40's. So, it looks like I will be going with the Diadora's.

Though, Kirk did buy me a Curious George jersey, simply cause he thought "It's the greatest thing I've ever seen!"
