What brand are they? I'm currently confused because people talk about Frogs, but someone said Frogs are for mountan bikes. So at this moment, I'm still confused.
Also, which shoes did you get?
Thanks!
Amy

I have Frogs on my commuter/road bike. You can put just about any pedal on any bike, really. Whatever works best for you.
I've had my Frogs for a few weeks now, and am just amazed at the difference they've made. I feel so much safer and like I have so much more power and control. It's pretty darn cool!

Wanna: congrats on the clipless! Practicing on the grass is great, helped me a lot. Have fun with your pedals!

Hehe, I also have frogs and I love them.Hmm practicing on grass, wish I did that, then I wouldn't have gotten my lovely scraped knees. But...that means no more falling for me right?!?

Thanks for the well wishes everyoneI got the Shimano clipless/standard cage pedals. They were silver and black. The black part is the durable cage that securely snaps on the pedal(I watched him put them together). They are SPD and got the cleates too and the whole thing ran around $65. Not bad, I was expecting more. I have Diadora road/touring shoe, womens.black. they are lace up but have a velco across the top of shoe to secure laces and foot. really nice shoe. found it at nashbar. I've seen frog pedals, they are neat looking, never tried them though. Everyone has to find their own fit I guess. I was the third one this week to get those pedals from the LBS, apparently it's a popular option.
I got the Shimano's also! But, I'm having the damndest time trying to find shoes to go with them. I need a 7 & my LBS's 'don't generally carry them that small' but are willing to order them. I'm going to Houston to look for some & am not even sure where to start looking.
Also, what is up with dumbass dudes who I know that cycle telling me that I can't put the Shimano's on my road bike?? I know I'm a newbie, but seriously, I need a multi purpose pedal so it makes the most sense. Thankfully, LBS completely understood.
Pikato and Dachsund, here's a link to the shoes I got. There's a size 38 for your reg size 7 shoe Pikato. I wear a womens 10 and I got the 42's and they fit great. Hope this helps.

Frogs are great, and I use them with my road bike. They are made for mountain bike shoes, is all--which are entirely usable with a road bike!
