I'm not in Oklahoma, but hopefully other states will catch on... This is the latest Roadbike Rider...

Ooohh, I wanna move back. That's suprising, actually, because compared to Alabama, Oklahoma has a lot less cyclists. But hey, finally a reason to be proud to be from there. Now if we can just get this into other states.

I was so excited when I read that - I told one of my buddies here and it sparked a very - ummmmmm - heated discussion about bikers being on the road in the first place (he is Not a bikie!).
With New Mexico, especially Albuquerque becoming more and more bike-friendly, I could only hope our state passes a law like that also!Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand, strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming: "Yeah Baby! What a Ride!"

Yes, I would love it if Virginia would do that as well, but we're a long way from being there. My SO and I almost got clipped twice a few days ago - and not because they couldn't see us!

A similar bill was proposed in Texas last year, but the state legislature didn't approve it. Maybe someday....
