Hey fishdr, I am running a marathon (Wickham Park) Sunday with _no_ training. I ran a 5k in November, and did the best in years, then another 5k in December, and totally sucked. So I am doing an experiment to see how my WP results, this year, with no running but losing 30 pounds and having ridden the Brevet series, compare to last year when I trained half-heartedly.
Friend might probably get discharged tomorrow. Sounds ok.
Went to see United 93. I didn't cry, but I easily could have. It was very, very good.
Oh, went to see Hoot with my daughter Friday- I liked it a lot.
Today I steered a rescued baby Great Horned Owl, found standing in the middle of the road for no apparent reason, to appropriate rehab.
I ordered a watch for the marathon, so I could time my splits, because I am too lazy to take one of my dead ones in to get the battery replaced. How pathetic. But it is a pretty green color!
My "real" watch, which is a month old, has an "ecodrive" so it will never, ever need a battery. I am the Queen of Dead Watches. But not anymore.
I have Blue Sport Beans, finally, and have resisted snacking on them in an inappropriate (not on the bike) manner.
The new shipment of three different Performance shorts hasn't arrived yet...
My AC, which froze up yesterday, is getting a tuneup Friday. I hope I don't have to buy a new AC for the house, because how could I do that...OTOH, more energy efficiency wouldn't be a bad thing, if they had some sort of financing I could afford.
And now it's time for leftover chicken alfredo!! With Gruner Veltliner!!
