Based on my shipping experiences through work, I wouldn't use either, I'd go with UPS. ANd I have shipped bikes through UPS and they arrived fine.

I undersstand that DHL is by far the best for international shipments--they go to parts of the world that don't get service otherwise. HOWEVER, they somehow managed to lose a tape from my mortgage company with all the information an identity thief would need, but to be fair, they found it someplace a few weeks later.

I've just had bad customer service experiences with FedEx ground. Basically when they've lost something, we've been told we're just SOL. Not very good CS.
