The thing you must *never* do is ask Bikeless to carry your bike for you in her luggage. She has a record of every other flight they loose her bags. Sure, it shows up later, sometimes she's lucky and gets to shop on her trip insurance before the luggage arrives.

The family joke is she should leave enough clothes here to fly with an empty suitcase. Then when the airline sends her bags to Aukland instead of Oakland....she has room for the shopping on the way back.

That would not be ethical of course and we don't do that. And of course as long as the airline does not loose her we're fine.
