    Performance Women's Contour Saddle

    To disable ads, please log-in.

I've been riding this saddle (Performance Women's Contour) for about a month, and it's really comfortable.

I recently had an opportunity to try the Terry Butterfly Ti, and for me it just wasn't comfortable. Too much pressure in the front (which is why I switched to the Performance saddle in the first place.)

The best news is that Performance is currently having a sale on this saddle -- it's usually $39.99, but now on sale for $19.99.

I was glad to read what you had to say. I was just looking at that very saddle at performance. My "new to me" bike comes home from her spa day tomorrow. It has a tractor seat on there now and I have to shop around a bit for a saddle I can afford.

How is it on your sits bones? I have an old tail bone injury, so saddles are usually a pain in the *** for me anyway!!!

I had to LMAO this morning. I saw some with reflective shoulders. I thought that I better get riding or no one would see the shoulders from my overhang!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Barb,

It's fine on my sit bones. Definitely give the saddle a try, and ask Performance if there's a return policy on saddles (as long as they're in resellable condition.)

I bought mine in person at a Performance store, and they said that if I didn't like it, I could return it for a refundwithin 10 days if it was in like new condition.

Good luck, and enjoy your new (to you) ride!

    Cool Saddle Woes...

I just got a Giant OCR compact frame road bike three weeks ago, and I thought I could get "used" to the saddle. I'm a former downhiller used to a cushier tush rest.... I've been rather sore the past three weeks. I love Performance's equipment, that's where I purchased my bike, I'll take a look.... thanks for the review!

Just got the same bike at performance. I'll bet that seat won't be the best choice after a long ride. Looking for a women's specific but not somke wide thing that will look funny on the bike and rub my legs. I have a performance seat on my spin bike. It is ok but a tad hard. Wish this was an easier decision.

Melissam, I'm wondering how long is the longest ride you've had in this saddle? I ask because saddles that felt good to me on a 30 mile ride didn't necessarily feel that way after, say, 60 miles. And like everyone else, I'm forever looking for the long-riding comfortable saddle...

    Salsabike,

You have a very good point about the saddle comfort level depending on the length of the ride.

I've ridden the Performance Women's Contour saddle on a couple of metric centuries (100km =~ 63mi.)

Thanks, Melissa! That's helpful to know. Maybe I'll give it a try, then.

Thumbs up I like this saddle!

I like the Performance Women's Contour saddle too. I put it on my mountain bike to replace a very uncomfy WTB saddle that came on the bike (no cutout, just a "channel") and also on my touring bike to replace a Terry Butterfly. I like that it is slightly narrower than the Butterfly, but cushier than the Damselfly, which I tried a couple of years ago and felt like riding on a 2x4!

And it's nice that it is so cheap so that if you don't like it, you aren't out $100+!
