Eldridge Grade

Ok, so I went up Old RR Grade to the top of Tam today, which I like to ride pretty often, but I'm kinda gettin' a bit bored with it so, silly me, I decide to go down via "Eldridge Grade." Now mind you, I rode it about a year ago and guess I'd forgotten how truly horrific it is (unless you are a 17 year old kid with a crazy streak)....anyhooo, I made it, with only one minor fall through a combination of walking (particularly at the top) and praying.....I ran into a biker farther down who said the trail had been particularly messed up by this year's rains....sure...at any rate, I swear never to attempt this again. Old RR Grade seemed like an old friend when I finally hooked up after Hoo-Koo-E-Koo...... It was a glorious, if somewhat hot, day to ride though....Happy Mother's Day!!!!

Eldridge was the site of my 3 in a row endos that turned me off MTB. Good job for making it down in one piece!!

tomgrrrl, way fun! You'll need to come with us for our annual Mt Tam excursion. We start at Natalie Greene Park in Ross, around the lakes, up through 5 Pts, Eldridge, Shaver, Indian Fire, Hoo Koo E Koo, RR to lodge, then the summit, down the pavement past the theater to Rockridge, down to Lake Lagunitas and retrace our route back to the car (and I have no idea if I got this all listed in the right order but note we do not come down Eldridge ).

Veronica and Thom rode this with us last year.

We go for the all day epic ride atmosphere and to see Mt Tam and its views from all side.

Marin Brewery puts the icing on the cake.

Thanks Z....been kinda busy of late and haven't been online much :-)....and Sadie, your ride sounds really nice, let me know when that one is!!! I love riding Tam, just don't want to get killed in the process
