Jo, I'm sorry I didn't realize you were having such crises. Such times seem to be extra horrible in the heat but I was so glad to see your perseverance. I'm going to stop being so "pleasantly surprised" (your words) when you ride better than you say you will. I know now that you're just setting the scene. Your game is up.

I am feeling ever so much better about my downhills. BikeMomma and I both live in the flatlands. If you can't ride up, you certainly can't practice your downs. At the WCC I felt like I was creeping down the hills, but I finally started to let it go. That road is a great downhill for honing up these skills.
