When it's easy, ride hard; when it's hard, ride easy.

My cycling friend and I signed up for The Leukemia and Lymphoma's Team in Training. We've already done centuries but us MidWest girls have never done anything as cool as Tahoe! The price tag for Tahoe is a minumum of $3900 per person raised. Fundraising has been hard, really hard and our event is less than a month away! I can't (and don't want) to know how much time involved and money out of pocket has gone towards our fundraisers!
I know I sound like I'm whining but it's really a great cause. Our coaches have us doing really hard hills in preperation and everytime I start to say this is hard, I'm reminded by a voice in my head, how much harder it would be to be diagnosed or have loved ones diagnosed with terrible diseases.

The Tahoe ride is a great ride. The scenery is gorgeous when you're by the lake. The trip out to Truckee and back is bland. I'd skip that section, unless you really want to do a century. Part of it is on a bike path. Kind of scary with that many riders.

If you just feel you have to splurge, get a report on the fabric. I love the fabric in my Castelli Carve jersey but I looked at the sleeveless LeMans today jersey and it felt slimy, silky but slimy. I'm sure that it is personal preference but I didn't care for it. The Physio (sp?) has a completely different fabric and the LBS didn't have it for me to caress.
