    I got myself a gift....

For doing the 200K from hell and the potential 300k from hell this saturday, I got myself a Timbuk2 messenger bag. It should show up after this weekend.

I did custom colors: Navy on the left, white in the middle, and slate blue on the right. I plan on commuting to school starting in at the end of the month, and need a good messenger bag.

    Yay, toys.

I got myself one of their "small" (it's really not small at all) tote bags and I am using it as a purse. Turqoise and lime green, and I think it is the perfect purse for an attorney. Don't you?? Looks great with a business suit...

Oh it will! You may actually want more gaudy colors by then!

Tis very true! Colors are fun!, especially with a business suit. I tend to wear black suits, so my red and silver small Timbuk2 mixes it up a little.

Funny you should mention the small not being very small MP. I used to think it was perfect for the kitchen sink I seem to carry. And then I started bringing my lunch to work as well... had to upgrade to medium! Went with the billboard one in black and it has all kinds of stickers . Very professional

Do you ladies use your messanger bag in all or only most occassions. I use mine as my everyday 'briefcase' in 99% of situations - but will admit that if I am meeting with a member of the Cabinet or appearing before a parlimentary committee I will be conformist enough to use something more formal

Good for you! I have a "small" black and white T2 bag that I carry around at work. I look weird with my lab coat and my messeneger back slung across my chest, but whatever. It's comfy and it holds a lot of crap.

I think the stablilizer strap is really handy on the bike too. I can't wear a bag tight enough so that it doesn't slide down in front of me.

Do you want to have lunch tomorrow?

I love my Timbuk2 bags. I've got a "medium", which is huge, IMHO. Good for riding to volleyball and carrying a change of clothes. The "small" makes a great purse. I got it specifically to use on the bike, when I'm going somewhere and need to carry some stuff, but don't want to carry around my pannier or seat bag. I go through phases with purses, so sometimes I also use it as a daily purse. My Kryptonite lock fits in it perfectly. I haven't figured out how to mount the lock on my Bianchi yet, so if I'm going out and will need to lock it, I carry it in the small Timbuk2.

beta--what're you thinking about the 300K, given the weather? I'm thinking of you! L. never mind--just found the other thread. I'm rooting for you! I love the idea of duct tape at the ankles.
