Talking I'm Back in the Saddle Again!

I'm not sure what's better -- to be riding again or reading the TE forums again.

Let's see, what have I learned from looking at the TE forums?

    1. How not to go about euthanizing animals sans veterinary assistance.
    2. Libras tend to own a bevy of bikes.
    3. Massbikebabe is a very strong woman!
    4. Susie's bike looks like it got hit by a truck. I'm sure glad Susie is OK!
    5. Getting your tonsils out as an adult is a lot tougher than having them out when you're 4 years old.

Anyway, as far as the riding goes, I got tired of waiting for them to make a hitch for my TSX, so I went ahead and had a trailer hitch shop put on a custom hitch. That was last Friday. Since then, I've ridden every day except yesterday. I've been bringing my bikes to work -- we have some great trails out by the Bay, so it's pretty fun to cruise out there on the mountain bike. I'm hoping to get some miles in on the road bike this evening - I hear theres a nice, paved trail out to a park in Sunnyvale.

If anyone in the South Bay Area is up for a nice, leisurely ride on a weekend (Saturday or afternoon on Sunday), feel free to PM me.

Melissa !!! So great to hear from you ! Welcome back !

I always think of you when I ride gasping up the Calaveras Wall.

We have to get together for a ride sometime. There's a really nice bunch of Bay Area women here, check out this thread on a ride a group of us did together a couple of weeks ago. We'll do it again sooner or later. http://forums.teamestrogen.com/showthread.php?t=6348

And then there is the crazy contingent for whom 200K - 200 miles is their idea of a good time. But they're harmless for the most part.

    Now don't be a stranger, y'hear??

    Oh, my goodness!

It must be ESP. I've been thinking of you and wondering why we hadn't heard from you.

July 29th is a ride in Monterey - details still to be announced. I would love to finally meet you.

    Jobob,

I hope you think of me before riding up the Wall, so you remember not to eat any fig newtons! They just don't seem to mix with the effort of climbing the Wall.

The ride you mentioned sounds like it was a lot of fun. Let me know if you plan to do it again -- I'm definitely interested. Heck, if I keep riding an hour a day, I might be able to keep up with you all!

    SK,

Thanks for the invite to the Monterey ride. Unfortunately, I'll be out of town on vacation (and planning to bring my bikes). I'll have to meet you some other time.
