I agree, bad eating was in the air... Spent Sat. at the coast with friends. How can 4 people drink 7 bottles of wine in one afternoon and evening????? The worst of it was that I didn't get in any time on the bike the whole weekend either. Sheesh.

along with not doing weekday rides, and justifying it all (but not really, I _know_ better) by saying "Oh, I've been doing 100 mile, 200 mile, 300 mile rides every weekend."
Ok I don't feel so bad now. I'm totally justifying my slacking by saying to myself "hey I have a 300k this weekend."

It sure is good to know I'm not alone. Shall we promise to be good this coming weekend? Uh... maybe not. I'm going to be in MD for Mother's Day and my mom's having a catered birthday party for my stepfather on Sat and the family is having a big Mother's Day party on Sun. I don't see much healthy eating happening. I'll try, though. Crabcakes are healthy, right? We get the ones with no breading - true MD crabcakes. And, I'll have no riding for almost an entire week (Thursday-Tuesday). Ooh that's bad.

Gosh, I've been eating terribly since I went on vacation in March, and have five extra (solid) pounds to show for it. I've been tracking my intake on fitday and the quantity has amazed me. So that last few days I've been trying to clean up my act! Sunday I still managed to eat cookies, chocolate, and cheese, but at least in smaller quantities!

Did you enjoy the food you ate? Was the company good?

I think it's important to be aware of what you eat, but life is short. You never know what is going to happen. Don't begrudge yourself the enjoyment you get from eating - especially if you're spending time with family and friends and socializing. That doesn't mean go all wacked and eat poorly every day or neglect the exercise side of a healthy lifestyle. And if you're eating because you're bored or depressed that's obviously not good.

    Just my .02 cents.
