    Thumbs down yep....me too

The closest I got to real food this weekend was a box of honey-garlic chicken wings. I was weak. I couldn't help it. It wasn't my fault.
Other dubious choices this weekend were: Cheezies, dry-garlic pepperoni stix, beer, popcorn, Reece's Peanut Butter Cups. True gastronomic chaos.
I only managed one meagre 40km ride Saturday evening. Today I'm fasting, and doing all my errands by bike. Yuk...I can still taste those pepperoni stix.

PS- it was good imported beer from France...that's pretty close to health food, isn't it? Isn't it?? Please?

Gosh... I got my blender cranking (I still have to work on getting it wedged up against the wheel tightly enough) - bananas, a little chocolate syrup, half a cup of yogurt, and some ice cubes... it's a lot more work if it's more full, but that crunches the ice better. Whew! DELISH! TONS of calories and I only did 25 miles on Saturday, because on the way home from the ride I lead, I stopped at a garage sale and bought a bookcase for 3$ and strapped it on the bike... but the next yard sale was a guy who refinishes furniture so I ended up leaving it there so it could graduate from a basement bookcase to a bedroom bookcase... and then the *next* yard sale had tons of IRISES so I rode to my floral consultant's house and we went back and bought ALL of them (43) and some daylilies so my cute little (BAKED TO A DRIED-OUT CRUNCHY BROWN last summer) back yard might just get some color :-)
Tonight if you're in the area I'll haul that blender out to Countryside Day School (Staley & Kirby, Champaign) at 6:00. I'll pick up some bananas... ice... yogurt... Hmmm... I wonder what the open container laws are about bicycles, I bet a little amoretto would go a long way...

Yup - I had some beer in there, too. You can't eat crawfish without beer. It just wouldn't be right.

At least we went to the birthday party on our bikes - towing the kids in the trailer. So - I guess I did ride a little yesterday. Uhhhhh - maybe a mile or 2. That's better than nothing, right??? Maybe I worked off a spoonful of cake. Maybe...

It'll be a turkey avocado wrap (yes we have those in the MS Delta now - but they're new) for lunch. The chicken thing from the weekend was from Sonic. I do not recommend it.

It's good to know I'm not alone in the lousy eating weekend.

    *slowly raises hand*

Yeah, I had a weekend of grossly unrestrained overindulgence as well. First a bachelorette party for a friend who is getting married, and then a birthday party for my ManFriend.

Oh yeah, it must have been in the air this weekend.

Friday, went to the wine bar with my friend. Then came home and ordered in thai food, which was just appetizers. But still nothing good for you really. Then had some port.

Saturday, went out for dinner. Had a beer, turkey burger and some mashed potatoes. So I guess not too bad.

Sunday, went to my friend's house for dinner and had grilled sausages, rice, and parmesian covered tomatoes.

Didn't get on my bike at all either.

I feel like I've been doing the whole New Year of bad eating habits, (or really, just over-eating habits) along with not doing weekday rides, and justifying it all (but not really, I _know_ better) by saying "Oh, I've been doing 100 mile, 200 mile, 300 mile rides every weekend." I've _got to_ get back on the wagon! At least I'm still counting, so I am aware of exactly how much damage I am doing...
