Hey, Kiwi, apple season here... just bought a bag of about 20 Braeburns for $2... whats that, about 70-80p?

When you get back to Godzone, get in touch, we must go for a ride somewhere together... I'll bring the apples!

I hate you! Although, you did just offer to feed me, so I may rethink that stance... There's not a lot of seasonal variation in supermarket prices here at all because of all the importing. I end up with this whole United Nations thing going on in my vege bin - beans from Kenya, apples from Poland...

Talking about food prices, this reminds me of when I was in the States a few years ago: I fully burst out laughing in Safeway at the price of kiwifruit - they were, like, two for US$1, or something equally ridiculous.

    Two for US$1???

    Thats insane

Locally we were getting the gold ones (so yummmmmmy) for NZ$3 for about ten, and the green ones were about NZ$2 for a bag of about 20 or something

Mind you, I am in the Bay (LOL - the Fruit Bowl of NZ!!!) so loads of fresh fruit about all year.

I'm serious about feeding you if you come for a ride with me... I guess you must be just about due for the two days of Summer London gets?
We've had some serious late Autumn/ early Winter rain, but in between the days a warm and mild and quite delightful.

Hawke's Bay (and note the apostrophe!!) or the Bay of Plenty, Road Raven?

Just bought another 8 local (Golan Heights/Galilee) Pink Lady apples - not even going to *try* to deal with the complexities of the plural and apostrophes on that one!

And I just bought some nylon shorts (Nike) in the very pink of Pink Lady btw

All you need is love...la-dee-da-dee-da...all you need is love!
