Here's another option Trek. We found a grooming place nearby that boards dogs. They have a nice run where the dogs can go outside a couple of times a day. They hired someone just to come and play with the dogs. Now Mae may not appreciate the playing per se, but if she's crate trained, she might not be too upset being in a cage for the most part of a couple of days. Some boarding places also have outdoor/indoor areas the dogs get to stay in all the time. I don't know what you have where you live, but I'd guess there might be a suitable option. We call it "doggy camp". My dogs now get excited when we mention it.

maillot? Does your daughter know that you've been running around here refering to her as "peas"?

(I just twigged to that one, after ages of thinking "hmm... petite pois... that means something in French..." )

Well, if I'm "maillotpois" (a bastardization of the term "maillot a pois", used to refer to the polka dot climber's jersey in the Tour), and "pois" technically means "peas" - SK came up with "petitePois" ("little peas") for the shorty and I liked it!

    Cycle Psychoanalysis:

Last night I dreamt I had worked on the front tire of my bike, and I could see the tube coming out of the bead (the edgy-bit of the tire that fits in the rim, whatever that thingy is called) and then it exploded. And it exploded twice more!

Either I need to stop reading Bicycling Magazine and Bicycling Science by D.G. Wilson before I sleep, or I have deep-seated anxiety about working on my bike.

I think I need to get my health insurance to cover the one week Level 1 bike mechanics class at UBI (www.bikeschool.com) If my case is severe, and my mental health is truly jeopardized (which it is, as anyone could attest!) I will need insurance to cover the Level 2 class, too.

    good morning TE

As Freud said "sometimes a bike tube is just a bike tube".

I'm still looking however I may have found a dog trainer. Let's hope we can teach a middle aged dog new tricks. We're consulting on the dog issues and then will work on scheduling.

Snap, feel free to post or send me info on your guy.

Oh, Sun just came out from behind the fog.

Well off to the dojo I think in a while, run some other errands maybe.

I so totally want to do that class! I have been looking at that for years.

    Cycle Pyschoanalysis:

This afternoon, after having a couple of rum and tonics and sitting in the sun watching DH's tennis match, I come home to lounge on the couch with the Vino edition of Cycle Sport. Love Vino. Read the article. DH is at the computer pricing forks. There's a cool breeze coming in, I can hear the hypnotic hum of the computer, and my eyes slowly sink shut. I am descending a curvy mountain road, and my front wheel suddenly goes out from under me - and I fall to the pavement, jerking awake just before impact.
