Don't ever believe Yellow when she says "I'm scared of flats!" In her first time trial she managed to creep over the 21 mph mark and in her 2nd, she averaged 21.61 mph for 10 miles -- on the uber light and aero Specialized Sequoia.

Put her in a bug suit on a real TT bike . . . and get out of the way!

She missed the fastest 200 riders since the series started a few years back by only 2 seconds. Congrats, Miss Yellow!

Sue, you better tell Rod that he made #176 in his first time out. And, he was so sad to be passed by a girl!

Awwww, shucks. *insert rosy cheeked emoticon here*

But but...they still have my time wrong from my first TT! The injustice! But then it makes me look like I improved a whole whole bunch from my first time to the second.

I may just have to get me one of them tri bikes. It's SK's fault! I may have a go at the Saltair TT series next year in Salt Lake City-land, 'cept it seems to be a "for real" race series (eek!). I like the low key Mad Cows way of the TT.

'Kay, signing off for a while as I'm moving my household to the city by the salt lake this week!

Bumping this thread. A revised "Fastest 200" list was just published listing the fasted 232. Miss Yellow is #210. Not bad for a little tiny thing that shouldn't be good at time trials.

This list is not weighted for age, gender, type of bike, team component, or 'nuffin.

Funny this should come up as I've been mourning the loss of my old TT group.

These days when I see tall, long legged, sturdy women I think "Wow. She'd be a really good TT-er. I wish I had legs like THOSE."

    Margs? Well, now I'm there!

I know it's every other week - I am going to see what date(s) I may be able to make it work. Never done a TT in my life, but there's always a first. Is the course relatively flat? I know it's Davis, but...

It's an out and back course (5 mi each way). I think there is a 25 ft elevation change so bring your climbing gears.

Good thing I have the triple...

You should wear your Assos body suit next time. I think it is super fast.

Why do you think I wanted it? Aero bars bought me a bunch of speed. Money can make you faster.

The route is mile markers 20 to 15 and back (you turn around about a mile outside of Winters). Yep, one really hilly course. I think you'll ride this stretch on the DD.

Man, I don't have aero bars. I will feel like a total loser, won't I? Do you have one of those cool helmets, too?

Hey, there are 13 yr old kids out there. Last year a couple Bill's and my age that were just learning the whole roadbike scene. There may be a guy in hiking boots riding an old klunker rigid mtbike. There may be a Hawaii Ironman placer. You never know. It's kind of anything and everything free for all. Joe parks his truck in the famer's dirt access road, hauls out a cooler of water, hangs up a sign at the turn around and starts people every 30s secs while the rest of us mill around.

    Okay, I'm sold.

What are the dates in June again? I know it's every other week, but don't remember what the start date was.
