BetaG,
Incredibly tough, that's what you are. Mentally and physically. Very inspiring to read your tale.

My MS doesn't react to "stuff" the way your Crohn's does, but I so get this. Such thoughts go through my head a lot and do help propel me down the trail at times.Originally Posted by betagirl
Thanks for writing up this report; I hadn't had to time to read until this afternoon. My first attempt at a double century is next week with a lot of climbing and tight time limit so reading of your success was motivational.
I'm a bit worried after today's ride since we had wind, hills and heat. If it stays this way, we may turn into vulture food but we'll do what we can and make another attempt later. Thoughts of your perseverance will be with me.

WOW, you are one tough lady! Great Job sticking it out in those adverse conditions! I hope that you will do the next one and that the conditions are better so that you get to enjoy it!
Excellent job, thanks for posting a ride report - I really enjoyed reading it!![]()

Sadie - It's good to see someone else who has a similar attitude toward the whole being sick thing. I had to have a heart to heart with my gastroenterologist about what cycling means to me when he started talking about me taking time off. I told him I'd rather be dead than have to sit around at home to have manageable crohn's disease. He got the message and that hasn't come up since. He's actually pretty supportive of it all now, even though he worries sometimes. May your MS and my CD keep us off our bikes to a minimum![]()
Well I took a nap that turned into 4 hours, and I think the aches have left my body from yesterday. It's supposed to rain here all week, so I'm not sure when I'll get back on my bike. If it's ok tomorrow, I'll try a recovery ride. Something nice and short![]()
Oh and I had that milkshake. Oberweis cookies and cream. mmmmmmm
