NY biker- your training video of Gates Pass and McCain Loop is so close to home for me! This time of year it's perfect weather and the wildflowers are starting to come out. I expect to ride out there sometime in the next month. The last hill up to Gates Pass is very tough- I often need to get off of my bike and rest.

I am getting a little into commute mode. Yesterday my husband needed the car so he dropped me off and I rode home. Today I actually got up early and rode in to work via the newly completed bike path- it shaves 1-2 miles off of the routes I used to take, and has no cars for 7.5 of the 9.5 miles. It wasn't too cold, about 45 degrees and I was comfortable with leg and arm warmers and a wind breaker. I've ridden on it recreationally, but it's the first time I commuted on it. Looking forward to the ride home in perfect temperatures: the 70's!
