The Surly, which is my primary bike, lives in a corner of the kitchen where it is easily accessible and reasonably easy to bring in and out (even though I am in a second floor apartment so there is a set of outside stairs involved). The Trek is in the basement/laundry room and is kind of awkward to bring in and out because of the tight stairwell down there, but I don't ride that bike nearly as much and there is not enough room for both of them to be kept upstairs without being in the way. When I eventually buy a house, there will probably be much more convenient options for bike storage.

I just received and assembled the two floor racks. I think they'll work out very well.

We currently have 14 bikes between the two of us. I can hardly say that out loud. A bunch are hanging from hooks in the garage, the TT bikes hanging in the cellar and the two trainer bikes are down there too. Yep. Lots of bikes.

Most of mine are in the garage. One is inside on a trainer. One is at an out of state friends house in her garage.

Ours sit in the "dining room" of our 650 sqft condo, we put two in the bike room but that place is chaos personified, people just open the door and shove... in order to get a bike back out is a half day endeavor.

I have 4 currently - 3 are in the hallway at the front door (2 road, 1 mtb), the banger is kept in the garage because its unloved and can't control its bladder after 20 years of muck riding. Hubs road bikes are kept in his "space" aka the dining room on a 4 bike tree-stand.
