Anyway, Mountain Bike Action magazine has their 2004 Buyer's Guide in the current issue on the newstands (March, 2004). It lists the stats you're interested in: Price, Front Travel, Rear Travel, Fork, Shock, Brake, Rims, Tires, Crankset, Shifters, Derailleurs, etc. for over 650 bikes, and breaks the bikes into categories like XC, Trailbikes, Downhill, Jump, etc.

Might be worth a look...
