So funny, but we were meandering through the parking lot looking for the Bobs (Jo and Lee), gave up and starting to pull into a parking space when there they were waving at us from one row away. Then, 'lo and behold, kharma had parked them right next door to TrekHawk. We are a blessed bunch.
TrekHawk, as said, took off before we did and lucked into meeting Audrey who is considering the LRRH. And, I ran into Lora and her gang of buddies from Yuba City who will also be going to LRRH. Lots of new people and fun times. The Bobs and Bubbas managed to ride the first 40 miles together and had a lovely time when we could hear over the wind.
I always love riding around the Buttes, but, sheesh, that ride is flat. Trek, we have got to get a Pioneer ride planned. You suppose the weather will clear up before Christmas?
And, now the secret is out of the bag. Bubba's new Seven came home Friday night about 9:30 so it's inaugural ride was a flat and windy century. The geometry of the frame is perfect. What can you say when Bubba sits up 3 miles into the first ride on a bike and is riding no-handed. He didn't tweak a thing, even including the saddle angle. I'll post pictures later. The bike is unusual as it is not a Ti bike, the norm for Seven, but is a steel and carbon frame. Fabulous ride for centuries.
