I love baroque music, Chanson and other medieval music such as https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LB4CehJEK8A There is something soothing about the sound. its not the "wall of sound" from Phil Spector.

    I also love Anonymous 4.

As much as I like Vivaldi's four season, PLEASE KEEP IT AWAY FROM ME. I've had my life's fill of Spring. Same goes for the Blue Danube, Beethoven's 5th and the 9th. I still like the 6th (pastoral) It's very soothing. And on the darker side, Night On Bald Mountain by Mussgorsky-Rimsky-Korsekov (sp??) Something very pretty is Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto in D major op35.

For opera, my all time favorite is Mozart's Die Zauberflote (the magic flute). The arias in it are one of the most beautiful (technically most demanding for the soprano).
