true. I picked up a freshly killed raccoon one morning. My husband had to go to a conference and my sons (who were yard ape size at the time) and i were along for the ride. I picked up the raccoon, dropped off the husband
and went to a kmart and bought a boning knife. I went to a park, where my sons entertained themselves and i skinned out that raccoon on a picnic table.
Since then i have found roadkill birds and taken them to the university's museum where they do feather studies on them.
We still have the raccoon skin, but one of my cats thought it was really funny to attack it's tail, so the tail is much shorter than it used to be.
