I didn't have to worry about the cobbles, because we took a rest day a day early, because of the weather. Went on a winery tour in the am and then the group made the decision. It was in the 50s, raining, and winds of 20 mph. So, we were driven to Vila Vicosa and had a late lunch, rested, and had a group dinner last night. There was a window of nice weather this morning, so we did a 25 mile loop ride with over 2k of climbing. This has been the best ride of the trip, in terms of scenery. I've been struggling with sinus stuff and generally feeling crappy since a week before we left; I'm doing the riding, but feeling like it's a struggle. DH is not happy with my complaining, he is not 100% either, but it just gets on my nerves. Everyone else is happy happy and I find myself just waiting to get done with the ride. On a brighter note, the food here is awesome and it's interesting. Today is a holiday here, nothing is open, so with the rain this afternoon, more eating and resting.
Last day of the riding is tomorrow. We have a steep climb up cobbles to the hotel; I'm already obsessing on this, but the rest of the ride should be good.
