What to price my road bike for

Hello, Due to a baby on the way and the realization I won't be on a road bike for some time, I have decided to sell my road bike (I need a good running stroller more than a road bike at the moment!) I was just looking for some advice on how much to price it for. It is a 2007 Trek 1600T WSD. Was $1600 new, and I think I maybe biked about 400km total on it. I also put Gatorskin tires on it. Thanks!

a 07 1600wsd is priced from 290 to 455 on Bicyclebluebook .....you might want to watch on ebay and see what final (not asking) prices are for the same model.

congrats on bringing new life into this world!!!!!!!

I always factor in, "how long do I want it to kick around for?" When pricing used items for sales. Some bikes, mostly newer higher end ones, can be very difficult yo sell for anything remotely close to original value.

There's also a website that gives some good information:

I think Bicyclebluebook.com always lowballs prices for used bikes by a few hundred. Statricks.com is usually much closer to the true value for used bikes since their prices are based on recent listings for used bikes.

For a 2007 Trek 1600, Bicyclebluebook.com indicates $300-455 while Statricks.com indicates about $600-900 depending on condition. The prices on Statricks.com are more consistent with the prices I see on our local craigslist. The Trek 1600 is probably comparable to today's Trek Lexa. If your bike has Ultegra or 105 components, I'd indicate that and also mention a Trek Lexa with only 105 would run about $1600+.

Here are the links for both sites for your bike:
