Three and a half for me.

Road, commuter (which is a steel touring bike) and mountain. I also have a new 'around town' bike in mid-build stage. It's a lovely Soma Mixte frame that's been collecting dust in our garage for like 18 months now and is finally getting some parts attached to it!

My H is down to three as well, road/touring, CX/road and mountain.

Unfortunately, none of them are getting ridden by either of us...but we hope to remedy that soon (or at least I do...he'll have to wait to be off the crutches).

My name is Marie, and I'm a bike-a-holic. It's been less than a month since my last bike purchase.

    I have five bikes:

2013 Colnago CLD (40s): My fast carbon bike for long and hilly rides

2011 Bianchi Vigorelli (44 cm): My first road bike that fits me, now my steel commuter/rain bike with rack and fenders

2007 Bianchi Eros Donna (44 cm): My latest acquisition, found in mint condition on CL for $425, my fast steel bike for longer rides around town

1991 Giant ATX 780 mountain bike (16"): My first real (non-K-Mart) bike that I got in grad school, now my farmers-market/picnic-and-wine-tasting/short-rides-around-town bike. With a rack it weighs over 30 lbs, but except for the saddle, tires, and bar grips, everything is still stock on this 23-year-old bike.

I also have a barely used 1995 15" Bianchi Nyala mountain bike I got on CL since I wanted a lighter lugged steel Bianchi mountain bike, but I hate the gripshifters and lower-end drivetrain on it. I'm still trying to decide if I want to upgrade the drivetrain or wait for a near-mint, higher-end 15" Bianchi Grizzly, Peregrine, etc., with a Deore groupset to show up on CL. I know, I have a problem.

I don't think you're going to find any help with that problem here.
At least I don't leave slime trails.

Well, ok, you asked for it!

    Mine:
Titus RacerX 26" full squish 2007
    Salsa Mamacita 29" 2010
    Giant Lust 27.5 " 2014
    Cannondale SuperSix 2011
Cannondale CAD something. I bought her off a friend. She lives on my trainer although she is very pretty for a cellar dwellar
    QuintanaRoo TT bike 2011
    Trek 7500 FX townie 2004

    My husband
Salsa Selma single speed 29er 2010
    Niner Air9 hardtail 29er 2008
Trek Superfly full squish 29er 2014
Giant something or another road bike 2009
Neil Pryde full carbon road bike that he just built himself 2014
    Kestrel TT bike 2011
Vintage Atalia steel frame roadie lord only knows

Oh and I forgot he has a disassembled 26" mt bike down in the cellar also, but that really does not count...or does it??

I do not think we paid full price or close to for any of them. We raced on a sponsored team for 3 years and got fantastic deals and after that had a friend that owned a shop and got fantastic deals. My hubs build my SuperSix and his new road over a period of time.

Our garage is a two car that does not house cars, only toys and tools, generator, snow blower, that type of stuff. Eight of the bikes are hanging from the ceiling.

In answer to your " how big is your garage?" question my hubs said....Not Big Enough
