Hi, sorry just saw this post. I have a CRV with a thule bike rack on the back. I had a hitch installed a U-Haul. I think it was about $150. The rack was another storyIt works great though.

A friend of mine has a CRV and she got a bike rack that mounts on the spare tire holder, similar to this unit:

I have a Jeep Wrangler, and got a spare mounted bike rack from Saris. It was fairly easy to install... I did it myself! The hardest part was hefting the spare tire back on.
