Right now I have red quinoa, but I think I like the white better.

Thanks Crankin, I will try that out. While I am no longer avoiding eggs for breakfast I am trying to mix things up. I do need good Paleo/Primal carbs and quinoa is one of those. I tend to eat the same things all the time! I do find red quinoa to be more strongly flavored than white.

    Yesterday:

Scrambled eggs over lots of cruciferous vegetables, coffee with cream
Milestone, and very challenging, competition kettlebell training, followed by protein shake
L: Mixed greens salad with roasted chicken, a bit of left over chicken sausage, pecans, raisins, other veggies that I don't remember, and homemade garlic mayo for dressing
D: pulled pork lettuce boats with a bit of mustard, and 15 Terra Sea Salt non-GMO vegetable chips - (about the only brand of vegetable "chips" I will consider, and a rare treat when it happens)

I've been eating weirdly and I am paying for it today!
Friday: don't remember breakfast, but I did ride to work and back.
L: small green salad and half an avocado sandwich on whole wheat, with other veggies
D: went out and shared an order of 5 meatballs in sauce with DH, 2 glasses of red wine, and a half order of risotto with grilled calamari. Just the right size
    Saturday:
B: 2 scrambled eggs, half a whole wheat bagel, fruit (blueberries, strawberries, oranges), coffee
I ate a banana before starting a hot and kind of hilly 42 mile ride. I had one Shot Block during the ride and 2 bottles of Skratch, lots of water, too.
L: During the ride I had the almond butter and blueberry jam on a whole wheat bagel I had packed.
S: Had a Lara bar after the ride
D: here's the bad part. DH got pizza and I ate 4 slices, with a beer when I got home. I was just ravenous, which means I didn't eat enough during and right after the ride. My stomach was not happy this morning.

boot camp, had half a banana before
B: left over refried beans, brown rice, Mexican cheese in a corn tortilla. strawberries and blueberries, coffee
L: small salad with chicken breast and tomatoes, an apple
D: we went out, to use a discount certificate that was going to expire. I did not feel that well, but I rallied enough to eat! We split a vegetarian board appetizer and a charcuterie board, which both had reasonably sized portions. Had striped bass for my entree, with fennel and beans. Ate about 2/3. We shared a chocolate fondue, which was really a very nice fruit plate with chocolate dipping sauce. Had one beer.
