What?? Stupid stuff said to cyclist

I keep a pen in my top tube bag. I started keeping it in my bag in case I wanted to take notes on cue sheets when a correction or clarification is needed for future reference. I figure it might come in handy in other situations, too. We recently used it to write down directions for some cyclists who needed to double back after they missed a turn on a big club ride and ended up on the longer route when they really wanted the shorter route.

I have a golf pencil in my bag, so it's not that unusual.

I'd never think to bring a pen, either...but the golf pencil idea is great!
