Lots of wooly/furry caterpillars crossing the road. I lost count of how many I saw in 5 hours. Isn't it a little early for them to show up?

A big screen tv. Seriously. I suppose it's better than roadkill (but there was lots of that too).
On our walks over the last few months about 400 lotto scratchers. I entered them into the "2nd chance" drawing online.

Reviving this old thread because I found something fun on a Memorial Day ride: a grand piano under the Brooklyn Bridge. I sent my photos and video to Gothamist, and it went on to become a fairly big story.
This link appeared today in my Youtube comments -- now I know what they were shooting!
The origins of the piano remain a mystery.
Pam- wow- that's very intriguing!

They staged 88 pianos around NYC last year as a sort of performance art exhibit. They were all outside but not in such good condition. My guess is that this one might be one of them.

Work hard, be nice.
Read a book.
I found info about the 88 pianos when I was searching the origins of this piano (but not the NYT story -- thanks!). I didn't know about that project, but I'm fairly sure this one did not come from that source. It's on a little beach where people aren't supposed to go, and it's not painted as the 88 pianos were. Well, it wasn't painted initially -- by now it has graffiti, and someone brought the piano flowers.
There have been news stories speculating that the piano was placed under the bridge for the video shoot -- which I assume would be illegal. The person who made the video put the Vimeo link in the comments on my Youtube video -- but then the link disappeared. Maybe he feared legal action?
