ahh Poet - those are Quite the fields and I should have Reconized your name my friend!! Welcome to another BJ member!! Joe was just asking me earlier if your mom was still riding. I had sent her another email asking if she wanted to go again but didn't get an answer back so I wasn't sure. She and Pat were so cute, worried the whole time we were riding that they were slowing me down and keeping me from doing a "real" ride! I tried to tell them a ride is a ride no matter the distance or speed - but I"m not sure they believed me!

my current bike is a road bike giant ocr and it is also my favourite because my husband bought it for me

occupation: currently a childminder studying for a degree with th ou with a view to teaching!! also a wife and mother of two !

hobbies are training and thata it between studieing and kids little time for anything else!

What's in your stable? I have a Raleigh cross, and a Burley Rock and Roll
Tandem.

Fastest speed on a road bike? Where? When? don't ride a roadbike. been up to 32 on the tandem (with my eyes open) sorry, don't know where. We have llots of hills around here.

Most memorable moment on my bike:
when I got up a particularly short hard hill on my own.

What is the biggest lie you've ever told:
can't remember. Try not to tell big lies often.

Most fun ever had on a bike? Tandem rallies are a lot of fun I've been to two and the next one is going to be in Corvallis, OR.

I did the STP when I turned 50. It was really really hard. I can't draft off
other people because I see out of only 1 eye at a time and have poor depth perception.

I think it was in a thread about stuff found on the side of a road and I admitted I've picked up pristine roadkill for hubby who ties flies. Your hubby admitted that he sometimes had to, er, keep you under control when you spot things. Kindred spirits!

Raleighdon provided tons of info about brevets, permanents, etc., last year when I was asking. He's also been trying to coerce us into going to the tandem rallies. We just missed you guys in Bend last summer as we went up for the Cascade Classic just after the Rally. He'll probably remember me as Goldilocks. Something about liking rides that were not too long, not too hilly, but just right.

Most memorable moment on my bike: I have two... the first time a rode more than 10 miles in one shot when I was in high school, and finishing the MS150 ride last year from Milwaukee to Madison

Most fun on a bike: hooking up the bike trailer to the hybrid and going for ice cream!
