Spoke magnets creating enough induction current to keep a couple LEDs going.

Yes, they would flash. And the rate of flash would be dependent on your speed. I did notice, though, that you can buy extra magnets to improve performance.
My beef is that the lights would be off at stops. NO chance for drivers to see you then.
I love the geek factor, though. I might have to get some & have DH rig some sort of battery to solve both problems.Give big space to the festive dog that make sport in the roadway. Avoid entanglement with your wheel spoke.
