I have just received their last catalogue. I think their backpacks (urban ones) are REALLY cool. Check out Kilobyte, Megabyte and Gigabyte, Flux (the sports bag and the city bags), the Flux and Pod sling bags, the Transit bag... They are all exciting and very good looking.
I don't know about their camelback-like bacs, but I think they have good reputation. Although I think the bladders are compatible with other systems, you may want to have your friend buy a couple more.
For cycling, I suggest getting a couple of pairs of toe warmers, very cheap and wonderful (make sure you know your size, S-M-L are available and I have L on on my touring shoes). For 3$ the turtle lights are also great, and cheaper than anywhere else in the world I think. And at 25$ the dB4LW-C computer with cadence is a REAL steal. All that stuff takes no space. (And you can put it in the backpack!!!)
Their Rapide bike shorts (52$) are a good value, I love the 8-panel construction and the chammy, but it's hard to buy bike shorts from afar. Avoid the Cyclo short. On the cheapo yet resistant and convenient side, their Slicker jerseys are quite good, I have two longsleeve that, at 29$, were hard to beat values.
The Whoosh jacket is a bit expensive but very, very, very popular with local commuters, so I guess it's worth its price. It is the total commuter jacket. Roadies would probably find it a bit un-fashionable, but it's got function, for sure.
If there's anything else you're contemplating, let me know, I will probably be going to the store in the next few days and can check ou things for you.![]()
Cheers!!!
