At the bike rack...

Wish I'd gotten a picture...

A few years ago I pestered my church to put in a bike rack, and it's gotten a decent amount of use. Mostly during the week, with folks coming to AA meetings or art shows or concerts or other community events (we're in the core of downtown). On Sunday mornings, though, my bike's usually all alone out there. But not yesterday! I was the first to lock up out (had to be there by 7:30 am) but not the last. When I stepped outside between services around 10:30, there were 5 bikes lined up! It was perfect weather for biking to church, and it's great to see I wasn't the only one who did.

And I mounted a tulip on my helmet and called it my Easter hat too.

If you build it they will come....
The strip mall where my hairdresser is located has no bike rack. They've been trying and trying to convince the landlord to put one in. One of the other shops is a butcher shop, and one day I walked in and pointed out that many people ride past coming off one of the pathways and might stop by to pick up something for supper if they could only lock their bikes up securely while there. That was about 18 months ago, but nothing has ever been put in.
