Hulagirl, good for you for keeping with it despite the surgery

I rode this AM despite a flat really cramping my style. Replaced it and was ready 5 minutes later to go! Rode about 11 miles today. Did 33 yesterday averaging 16 mph on the trail. Heck yes! 101 miles for the week!

hulagirl….good for you for not letting a little pain distract you from our goal.
For what its worth…. After wisdom teeth extractions I didn’t leave the dentist office until I got a script for hydrocodone.

Yesterdays ride in the Angeles National Forest took more out of me than usual I guess. A friend wanted to do the Santa Monica Adelaide Drive stairs workout on our ride to the farmers market this morning. I made it more than halfway and started feeling the twinge of a beginning cramp. (did my usual yoga after a days hard climbing when I got home yesterday) Did some stretching and came back down, did some more stretching and rode to the market and home. 7 miles and around 100 stairs. 20/20

It's good to stay active especially with a bit of a crampy feeling after a hard day but so hard to be motivated! Good for you!

I didn't commute in today because of rain but then that dried up (OF COURSE), so I ran home quickly between lecture and meetings and put in 5 miles of pretty brutal hillwork before coming back. I did it without cycling shorts and still felt great afterwards. That means my sitbones are finally "happy" again.

This has been quite a challenge with our weather here in upstate NY but so far I'm 21/21. I have had extreme fog, rain, snow, below freezing temps, and one oddball day where I actually got a little sun burn....there are no other weather events left

Sounds like you are still missing hail, sleet and plagues of locusts, Donna, but congratulations.

Me, I'm 21 from 22, including a couple below freezing and a couple of sunburns. Will race out to run errands between rain showers today.

I'm 19/22 and doing great. Beautiful weather today for a commute. Gonna do about 20 miles later with commuter gear in tow since the trail head is close and it's easier than fighting rush hour.
