I see it differently. If someone is looking for feedback about a specific product, it helps us all to provide details about that product. It's not fair to assume that people have time to do research for you.
If someone includes a link to a page about a bike or accessory from an established manufacturer along with a request for input into a purchasing decision, I would never think that person was spamming or trying to sell us on the bike.
