It was actually really nice weather for running ... PROVIDED you're dressed for running. The event was a "Run with the Ranger" to jointly benefit the National Park and the PTA. The ranger had to run it in her uniform, long chino pants and all, and did NOT look happy about it! At least they let her wear running shoes ...
