We had unusually great weather most of January. Day after day of beautiful sunshine. We managed to cycle almost everyday in January. The normal weather pattern in Vancouver is rain, rain and more rain this time of year so this wonderful stretch of sunshine was really enjoyed until February arrived bringing cold temperatures. A 66 yr old record was broken the other day it got down to -8.4c

Now the forecast is snow early Monday. Usually when it snows here driving is a nightmare as most people tend to ignore the need for snow tires until it actually snows and then.....well it's a bit late at that point. On the bright side, Monday is a holiday (family day) so traffic should be lighter than normal.
My bike told me today she's really really really ready for spring.
