This G will be a prominent part of both logos. It's how I carry out the rest of the text that will result in two different "feels".
This is certainly not the final draft of the G
The third logo will be different all together.

I love the G.
My $.02 about serious vs lighter logos...
I would lean towards the serious logo and here's why. As a female cyclist, I find that I don't get taken seriously. So, a lighter, fluffy logo would not appeal to me. I would want somebody who I feel is professional and serious.
Just my experience.To train a dog, you must be more interesting than dirt.
