    Shebeest century elite short

I just recently bought a pair and I just can't decide if the fabric is sheer. In certain light conditions it looks like the fabric could be. When I put my fingers under the fabric and pull slightly I can certainly make out the shape of my fingers/fingernail. I don't own a full length mirror so I have been trying to figure out if these shorts are sheer by moving around in front of my bathroom mirror. Of course the bathroom lighting is not the best, so it's been difficult to accurately assess. I had a previous experience with a pair of gore bibs being sheer. Unfortunately for me the sheerness of the gore bibs was brought to my attention 14 miles into the ride. I was horrified to say the least!. However I set a new personal best time riding back lol. To say I have a aversion to sheer shorts would be a understatement.
I read thru all the reviews on TE and it doesn't appear to be a problem. Has anyone bought a pair in the last month or so and found them to be sheer?

Yes. I bought a pair a couple of months ago and decided not to keep them because the fabric seemed sheer. It might have been because the fabric is white on the inside -- I also recently bought a Shebeest bolero that is black on the outside and white on the inside, and when I bend my arm my elbow looks white rather than black. But I also held the shorts up in front of a lamp and could see more light shining through the fabric than I could when I held up a pair of LG shorts.

I absolutely loved my old Shebeest Century shorts -- I have four pairs and I am still wearing one of them many years after I bought them. If they went back to using the old fabric I would buy two pairs of them right now.
