    LOL Crankin at the Danger Zone reference I weighed myself yesterday and was back to what I was before the holiday. My coach and training partner are both chastising me for not eating enough again...I need to add more starchy carbs back into my diet so have been working on that. 1,400-1,500 calories for my current activity level is NOT enough. I KNOW that, and I also know that I gain body fat when my calories drop that low...it is a challenge. I know that, and understand why it is that way, but I do forget.

    Today (rest day)
    B: frittata, 1 slice bacon, coffee
    S: kefir with a small amount of protein powder mixed in
    L: roasted chicken, kale chips
    S: small apple
    D: sweet potato bacon chocolate chili - as soon as it is done! I will have it over baby spinach - this is a fantastic recipe with a great mix of spices. I have a LOT more spices in my cabinet than I once did...

    half a Lara Bar before before spin class
    B:egg whites, grated cheddar, 1/4 avocado, 2 slices uncured bacon, an orange, coffee
    L: can of tuna in oil, 1/4 avocado, red pepper, cup of roasted corn soup (low sodium)
    S: small mocha latte, skim milk. Haven't had one in months and I know why. My stomach is weird now.
    D: I made a quinoa/sweet potato burger recipe. It was a pain in the azz, but they were great. I ate one patty, with a salad, and a glass of red wine and I had a lot to freeze

    Habits are hard to break!

    B: Coffeeeeeee, leftover sweet potato casserole from Thanksgiving
    L: Salami on crackers, an apple
    S: Tea, buttered English muffin, handful of coconut chips from Trader Joe's
    S: More salami (Salt and fat cravings? Must be that time of the month!)
    D: Turkey soup/stew (it rides that line) with onion, fennel bulb, white meat turkey, garlic, and a lot of barley in homemade broth. Yum.
    At least I don't leave slime trails.

    1 banana
    L: 1 slice turkey, beef, roasted veges, salad, 2 glasses white wine (party for work)
    D: 1 chicken tostada
    1 piece chocolate dark with almonds

    B: 2 egg omelette with low fat cheddar, 2 turkey sausages, blueberries, strawberries, oranges, coffee
    L: left over quinoa/sweet potato patty, cup of roasted corn soup, an apple
    3 mile run
    S:had a handful of nuts and cranberries when I got back from the run. We were going out to celerbrate our anniversary, which is today, but not until 8:30. We ended up having a beer and cheese/hummus/crackers ata round 5:00. Probably too much.
    D: we split an appetizer of salmon carpaccio (mmmm) and I had a shank of wild boar on a bed of white beans and greens, glass of red wine. The restaurant was an awesome farm to table place, that I realized is in the same spot as the pizza place I hung out in, back in my wild youth. That was sobering.

    B: sweet potatoes scrambled with Italian turkey sausage, 1/4 avocado, strawberries and oranges
    L: went for a very short, hilly 8.5 mile ride, ate a Lara Bar before, so that was my lunch? Had an apple and some nuts/cranberries when I got back
    D: roasted chcken (one leg and little bit more of dark meat), roasted broccolini, salad, glass of red wine

    L: small bowl of leftover beef stew
    Went to a party, 1 appetizer (feta cheese, spinach); 1 glass egg nog
    D: chili, small piece of cornbread, 1 glass white wine
    Dessert: 1 oatmeal raisin cookie and cup of tea with honey

    Did an hour of fuctional training DVD interspersed with intervals on the trainer, then stretching and strengthening, all at home, as I did not want to go out in the ice storm at 5:15 AM! ate half a Lara Bar before
    B: endive head, stuffed with light veggie cream cheese and lox, bueberries, coffee
    L: home made chicken salad with dried cranberries and walnuts
    D: had a slice of Machengo while I was cooking. one tostada on a whole wheat baked tortilla, topped with vegetarian crumbles, refried beans, salsa, avocado slices, lettuce. glass of red wine and 2 squares dark chocolate
